Ralph Ossa was appointed to the Professorship of Economics of Globalization and Emerging Markets, endowed by the UBS Center, in 2017. His research aims at international trade, economic geography and economic development.

In his inaugural lecture, Professor Ossa explained why we need a rethinking of trade policy. Showing the big picture of his research agenda of the upcoming years, he signalized that Deep Integration is the future of trade policy.

His inaugural lecture took place at the University of Zurich and was open to the public.

Prof. Ralph Ossa

Ralph Ossa is Chairman of the Department of Economics and was recently appointed Kühne Foundation Professor of International Trade by the University of Zurich. He left the UBS Center at the end of March 2019. Professor Ossa held the Professorship of Economics of Globalization and Emerging Markets, endowed by the UBS Center, from 2017 to 2019.
