Der Podcast mit dem Titel Wie wir Entscheidungen treffen präsentiert Kahnemans Erforschung der menschlichen Entscheidungsfindung und ihrer Irritationen. Ernst Fehr ist einer der Gastredner. Er unterstreicht die Bedeutung der Forschung des Nobelpreisträgers für die Verhaltensökonomie.

Marcel holds a BA in Sociology, Politics and Economics from the Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen and an MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). In 2020, he joined the Department of Economics’ Zurich Graduate School of Economics. Marcel is currently a visiting PhD Researcher at UC Berkeley. His research interests lie in Economic History, Political Economy, and Cultural Economics.

In der neuesten Ausgabe unserer Reihe Nobel Opinions (auf Englisch) spricht der Nobelpreisträger Daniel Kahneman über die wirtschaftlichen Folgen von Entscheidungen, die von risikoscheuen und risikofreudigen Menschen getroffen werden, und stützt sich dabei auf sein berühmtes Buch «Thinking, Fast and Slow». Kahneman widmete seine akademische Karriere den psychologischen Phänomenen rund um Urteilsvermögen und Entscheidungsfindung und begründete eine neue Denkweise über menschliche Fehler, die auf Heuristiken und Vorurteilen beruhen.

Researchers from the Universities of Zurich, Lausanne and Constance have challenged two prevailing explanations – repeated interactions on the one hand or group competition on the other. Instead, they conclude, both mechanisms synergistically contribute to fostering cooperation effectively. The new study by Ernst Fehr and other researchers, which was published in the renowned journal Nature, thus contributes to answering one of the great unsolved mysteries of human evolution.
